Extra-Curricular Clubs at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School

At St Bede’s, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs designed to nurture talents, build confidence, and encourage teamwork. These clubs provide children with opportunities to develop new skills and enjoy enriching experiences in a safe, supportive environment.

Our current clubs include:

  • Football Club with SAFC
Delivered in partnership with Sunderland AFC, this club helps children develop their football skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship under expert coaching.
  • Chess Club
Led by our Headteacher, Chess Club encourages strategic thinking, patience, and problem-solving in a fun and friendly setting.
  • Nurture Club (By invitation only)
A welcoming space where children can build friendships, boost confidence, and enjoy creative activities that support emotional wellbeing.
  • Multi-skills Club with June Ainsley
This exciting club offers a variety of physical activities to improve coordination, fitness, and teamwork, guided by experienced coach June Ainsley.
  • Y4 Sacramental Preparation
  • LEGO Club
  • Tennis Club– It will commence after the half term break. Details will follow.
  • Recorder Club– children will learn to play the recorder.

We are proud to provide these opportunities as part of our commitment to developing the whole child—academically, socially, and spiritually.
